Khaos Control Web supports the majority of the promotion functionality that is included in Khaos Control.
Keycodes
Keycodes can be used to add discounts to an order, either as a percentage or a fixed amount, when the customer adds the keycode to their order during checkout.
It is also possible to automatically add a product to an order using a keycode, although this requires the keycode to be setup as a "tracking" keycode, and must be added to the config option in the CMS.
NOTE: Products that are automatically added are not removed if the customer removes the keycode afterwards.
NOTE: If an order has an expired keycode on it, the next time it is loaded the order will be cleared. This is to take into account that there might be items added to the order that are no longer being provided, etc.
BOGOF
As standard the website supports basic BOGOF promotions, whereby there is a set of triggering products and when the customer has the required amount of 1/all of the products, the offer product becomes free.
For example, you could setup a BOGOF where if a customer has 3 of a single product in their basket, the third is free.
Another example would be if the customer has product A and product B in their basket, product C is discounted.
NOTE: The offer item is not automatically added to the order, the offer will only trigger when the customer adds all of the required trigger items to the order and the offer item.
Special Offers
Special offers can be used to apply discounts to certain items during a specific period, or to automatically add an item to all orders within that period.
NOTE: The automatically added item is not removed if the order is no longer valid for the special offer.
Telesales Rules
Telesales rules allows for far more complex promotions to be setup, and while a lot of this functionality is available for the website, not all of it is.
The main restriction for telesales rules is that it is not possible to display a prompt to the user for whether they want to add a product, as you can do in Khaos Control.
It is possible to combine telesales rules and keycodes to make more complex promotions, where free items are added, etc, but like other promotions these will not be automatically removed if a promotion is no longer valid.
