Web server requirements

Software Requirements

  1. Windows Server 2022 or above (64 bit)
  2. IIS 10 or above
  3. MySQL server 8.0 or above
  4. PHP 8.2.9 or above

Setup Requirements

  1. The server must be able to communicate with the Khaos Control database, so will need to communicate with the server the Khaos Control database is running on
  2. Images folder for storing product/category images, commonly on the C: drive

  1. ISAPI filtering for IIS enabled
  2. URL rewriter 2.0 for IIS
  3. IP restriction enable

Hardware Requirements

Advice provided by KCSL on case by case basis, typically:
  1. Windows Server 2012 R2 (64 bit)
  2. 5 GB RAM
  3. 50GB SSD
  4. 2 Cores
*We recommend that your server restarts at least 2 days a week within the early morning hours to ensure Windows Update is kept up to date and that the server has a chance to clean temporary files/release memory.

Setup Requirements

  1. The ability to communicate with the web server
  2. A network drive mapped to the images folder on the web server


Khaos Control System Requirements (for older than 2012 SQL Server)

If on an ext. server that's outside of the VLAN, that you allow external traffic for the web server to communicate with the Sequence server, this enhances performance of the website when adding to basket, registration etc. Please contact KC Support for more information.

Extra notes

Khaos Control Web does not currently support load balancers, so we highly recommend not implementing one on your website. We cannot guarantee the website's stability if one is implemented.
Images used on a Khaos Control Web website should be placed on the web server, and a network drive mapped to the Khaos Control server.
